HISTORY AND MISSION
Educational Accounts Receivable Management Association (EARMA) is a non-profit
organization that was founded by three member institutions in 1983. EARMA's original
goal was to meet the needs of educating and advising student loan and accounts
receivable staff in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
EARMA's mission is to provide a network of resources to assist and educate it's
membership.
As changes arise in the industry, EARMA prides itself in keeping its
members informed of pertinent changes affecting student loans, accounts
receivable and financial aid issues.
Through growth and expansion EARMA has been able to make significant impact
on state and federal regulation proposals. EARMA has successfully earned the
respect and recognition of the U.S. Department of Education, state agencies
and government officials.
As of Spring 1999, EARMA's diversified membership of over 118 institutions
has expanded into Maryland, New York, Massachusetts and Iowa. Members include
representatives from public, private, proprietary and public sectors of the
educational field.
